Lambeth Cyclists meeting this evening - annual meeting and Vauxhall Cross

Come to our meeting this evening, Tuesday 19 May 2015, 7:30pm in Stockwell to hear about the latest developments at Vauxhall Cross. This meeting is also our formal annual meeting at which we will be electing a new management committee to take us forward over the next year.

As you will be aware construction of Cycle Superhighway 5, which will create a segregated cycle path between Oval and Vauxhall, is underway. But far more is planned that will ultimately make the area more people friendly.

The area is set to be transformed by the removal of the cycle and people-unfriendly one way system. After an initial consultation Transport for London is now working on proposals which they are set to publish later this year with completion of the project likely in 2020.

As well as hearing about the Vauxhall Cross developments we will be electing a new management committee for Lambeth Cyclists. This is your opportunity to get more involved in the running of Lambeth Cyclists helping to coordinate meetings, run campaigns, influence policy makers, and suggest projects and rides. If you are interested in standing for the management committee contact Borough Coordinators Charlie Holland / Richard Laidlaw.

Join us for our meeting at 7:30 - 9pm on Tuesday 19 May 2015 at the Stockwell Resource Centre, 1 Studley Road, SW4 (behind Stockwell tube station) - there is ample cycle parking in the Centre forecourt.
