Sign up for Lambeth Cyclists maintenance classes: next set starts 10 April 2012

Cycle maintenance on lambethcyclists.org.uk
We are now taking bookings for the next set of  Lambeth Cyclists cycle maintenance classes.

Lambeth Cyclists are organising more cycle maintenance classes this Spring: the next set of five classes will start on 10 April 2012.

Feedback from earlier classes shows they have been very well received. As one participant put it:

"Simon is a fantastic, patient teacher who makes sure everyone "gets it". I found the course to be great value, having paid for itself several times over in savings on shop servicing. Couldn't recommend it enough."

Lambeth ‘linear park’ offers hope for Vauxhall Cross

In January Lambeth’s cabinet looked at proposals for Vauxhall which would effectively see the removal of the current cycle-unfriendly road system.

Coming on the back of development proposals for Nine Elms the plans seek to reintroduce a high street in Vauxhall along Bondway, where the current gyratory and bus station is located, and create a linear park to link the river to the rest of Vauxhall. We welcome these plans as they will effectively result in the removal of the gyratory and make Vauxhall’s roads more people friendly. We hope the principles expounded in the current proposals, that making the streets more cycle and people friendly is good for the whole community, will be applied to the Tulse Hill gyratory system too.
