Architecture rides March / April 2007

Lambeth Cyclists' monthly architecture rides are easy going social rides open to all generally held on the last Saturday or Sunday of the month. Each ride looks at the work of a particular architect or architectural themes, no prior knowledge is required.

March 2007’s ride took a trip around the works of 20th century architect Sir Edwin Lutyens who designed many commercial buildings throughout London as well as the Cenotaph in Whitehall.

April’s Architecture Ride on Saturday 28 Apri 2007 entitled Hidden Hospitals, will be led by Chris James and Jennifer Butt and will explore the many buildings around London which were built as hospitals but which now have other uses (such as the general lying in hospital in SE1 pictured). This ride should take in many interesting undiscovered areas of central London.
