Cycle maintenance classes continue:next set start 8 November 2006

If you are interested in learning a bit more about cycle maintenance book yourself onto our cycle maintenance classes. The classes are run by Mel Allwood formerly of Brixton Cycles and offer a five week introduction to maintaining and repairing your bike so that the time off road can be minimised. You will have a chance to work on your own bike (tools and workstands provided). The next set of classes is due to start on Wednesday 8 November 2006 and will be held in Brixton. The cost of the series of classes is £55 for the five weeks or £5 if you are on income related benefits. To find out more and book yourself a place contact Janet Paske

Volunteers wanted - Cycling for all

We would like to expand the ranges of rides and activities that we offer to promote cycling to a greater number of Lambeth residents.

At present we have two projects in mind and are looking for volunteers.

Lambeth Cyclists are hoping to work with local disability organisations to get more people on bikes. We are already planning on leading a ride with Lambeth Mind and we're interested in getting a project going for people with learning difficulties or physical or visual impairments. We've got pretty good links with local disability organisations but it would be good to get some more people to help plan/ fundraise/ attend events.

Lambeth Cyclists are also looking for people who would be interested in leading family friendly rides. So if you know of any good short distance (maximum distance around 10miles) routes around South London or easily reached by train get in touch.

If you are interested in either of these ideas contact Janet Paske
